India secured sixth place even after losing a match to Belgium by 1-2 in the Hockey World League finals tournament in New Delhi today. In a play off match for the 5th place, India's Chandan Thimmaiya shot a goal at 59th minute. Belgium equalised the score in 67th minutes. Again Belgium converted penalty corner into a winning goal just after a minute. Following this defeat, the 10th ranked India secured sixth place and 5th ranked Belgium retained its place.In another match for the 7th place, Germany defeated Argentina by 2-1 . England will take on Australia for the 3rd place and New Zealand will take on Holand for the finals today.
