India secure first innings lead in Chennai Test; Dhoni unbeaten on 206

A superb double ton by Skipper Dhini helped India to gain control of the first cricket Test against Australia by taking a substantial 135-run first innings lead in Chennai today. Dhoni gave an exhibition of blistering strokeplay to hit a career-best undefeated 206 while Virat Kohli cracked 107 as the hosts reached a commanding 515 for eight at close on the eventful third day's play at M A Chidambaram stadium . With today's double ton Dhoni has scored his sixth Test century, while Kohli recorded his fourth in longer format. Earlier, hosts resumed their first innings play with an overnight score of 182 for 3 in reply to Australia's first innings score of 380.
