India scores 224 for 2 at Lunch on Day 3; Sachin hits 49th Ton

Resuming their first innings with the overnight score of 128 for two, India were 224 for 2 against Australia on day three of the second and final cricket Test match at Bangalore when reports last came in. Sachin Tendulkar hits his 49th Test century and is batting at 106. Australia made 478 runs in their first innings. Earlier yesterday, Sachin scaled a new peak crossing 14,000 runs in Test cricket and steadied the hosts' innings against a massive Australian score. Australian captain, Ricky Ponting remains Tendulkar's nearest rival but the Aussie is still behind by 1822 runs.
