India says its recently launched urban development schemes will help cut its carbon imprints substantially. In a sensitisation programme at COP21 venue, the senior officials of urban development ministry said in Paris , hundred smart city programme will be inclusive and energy efficient. <br/><br/>Another panelist Karuna Gopal of Foundation of Futuristic city said in the new programme the citizens are at the center of the scheme. she said India has the advantage of being late mover as it has the benefit of others experience before it. Industry representative said in the Smart City programme , treatment of solid waste and recycling it to organic fertiliser can be converted into a good business opportunity. <br/><br/>The programme was organised to explain to various stakeholders in the climate change conference how India is going to deliver on its commitment to the world of reducing carbon footprint by thirty five per cent.
