India on Thursday said Pakistan has not taken enough steps to control the menace of terrorism, which is out to harm it. Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said, there are elements in Pakistan who believe terrorism is the means to further Pakistani interests. Dubbing terrorism emanating from across the border as Frankenstein's monster, she said, Pakistan allowed it to grow stronger and that is the danger that is eating the country. Mrs Rao was interacting with visiting journalists from Afghanistan in New Delhi. She, however added that though the people of Pakistan want peace and civility but there are groups in Pakistan who feel violence is a way out. Referring to the 26/11 attacks and proof gathered by investigators pointing out to involvement of Pakistan-based groups behind it, the Foreign Secretary said, these are problems that are coming out of Pakistan. Later, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna addressed the visiting journalists and handed over certificates for the training programme organised by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication for them.
