India and Saudi Arabia have signed the Haj Agreement which will allow one lakh sixty thousand Indian pilgrims to go for Haj this year. The Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Talmiz Ahmad told our Dubai correspondent that the agreement which was signed between Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor and Saudi Minister of Haj Fouad Al-Farsy , will enable India to send its one lakh sixty thousand pilgrims for Haj.<br/><br/>He informed that a request for an additional quota 20 thousand to 25 thousand increase has been forwarded to the Saudi Ministry of Haj taking into account the large number of applicants. The Saudi government has agreed to consider the request.
