India and South Korea have finalised a civil nuclear cooperation agreement. The matter came during the talks between Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the South Korean President Lee Myung -Bak in Hanoi. South Korea is the ninth country with which India has finalised the pact.Disclosing this National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon said that the two Prime Minister reviewed their bilateral ties and noted that considerable progress has been made in the relationship since President Lee visited India as the Chief Guest on Republic Day. The two sides have already agreed on the Comprehensive Economic Agreement. He said that considerable progress has also been made in cooperation in civil aviation and space, and several areas. He said that the economic ties are are also moving forward steadily. Menon said that the two leaders discussed G20 issues. The South Korean President stressed the need for putting a mechanism in place for systematic implementation of the decisions so that they are carried forward over several years. Both agreed that they would work together in the G20 to that end.
