India and Russia are expected to sign an expanded civil nuclear pact today after Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's Annual bilateral summit talks with President Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent covering the Prime Minister’s visit reports that the civil Nuclear deal envisages broad-based cooperation on a range of technologies and know-how in the realm of peaceful uses of nuclear technology. It is also expected that India will be allowed to enrich Russian-supplied uranium up to 20 percent and also get reprocessing consent rights for all future Russian reactors supplied to India. Dr.Singh and Russian President will also discuss supply of four more Russian reactors for nuclear power station in Koodankulam in Tamil Nadu.<br/><br/>The other major agreements likely to be signed are three defence deals, including the one on cooperation in development and production of multi-role transport aircraft, which will give India an opportunity to enter the global export market. The other two agreements include an estimated 5 billion dollar pact on extending the programme for military and technical cooperation for the period 2011-2020 while pact on after-sales support for Russian arms and military equipment supplied to India will also be signed. The delegation level talks between the two country will also held today.
