India, Russia must work together for better growth: Putin

Russia has sought to increase bilateral cooperation with India in various sectors including defence, nuclear technology education, business and industry. In a live web cast from New Delhi with captains of industry from various cities in presence of select journalists, the visiting Prime Minister of Russia Mr. Vladimir Putin said that in the present geo – political situation India and Russia must work together for better mutual growth.<br/><br/>Expressing concerns over the presence of terrorist hide outs on the border of Pakistan – Afghanistan, Mr. Putin said that this is a matter of concern for both India, Russia and Pakistan. He said that several terrorist camps are running on the Pakistan Afghanistan border and misguided people are being trained for strikes to destabilise peaceful nations. He said that in his talks with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh he will be raising these issues.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, almost 14 to 15 agreements are likely to be signed this evening between India and Russia following delegation level talks in New Delhi today. Both the countries are keen to increase the bilateral trade volume which has went up by 7 per cent in a spite of global recession.
