India, Russia, China call for concerted action against terrorism, transnational crime, drug trafficking

India, China, Russia have urged the International community that the terrorism must be dealt with firmly and expressed concern at the continuing deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan. <br/> <br/>The joint communique issued after the trilateral foreign ministers meeting in Bangalore, stressed upon concerted trialteral action against terrorism, transnational crime and drug trafficking. There was also a consensus on continuing effort to achieve a political and diplomatic settlement of Iran nuclear issue. <br/> <br/>Briefing reporters in Bangalore, the External Affairs minister Mr S M Krishna said that disaster management, cooperation in agriculture and health care and medicine also figured prominently in the talks. He announced the next trilateral meeting will be held in Beijing.<br/> <br/>In his remarks, the Russian foreign minister Mr Sergei Lavrov said that the meeting noted that the present global economic crisis is mainly due to the fact that the present day world reality is not reflecting in the global economic architecture. <br/> <br/>Mr Lavrov said that the climate change and other important regional issues also figured prominently in the discussions. He said new areas of cooperation between the three countries also came up for deliberation to enhance the trade basket. <br/>
