India resume first innings at 319 for 6 in 2nd test against Sri Lanka

On the second day of the Colombo Test, India were batting at 346 for 7 in 99 overs, against Sri Lanka, when reports last came in.Visitors resumed their first innings from the overnight score of 319 for 6. On the opening day, yesterday, Lokesh Rahul scored his second century while skipper Virat Kohli made 78 and Rohit Sharma 79. Earlier, after opting to bat first, Indian team had lost opener Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane early on.This is the penultimate Test of the 3-match series and Sri Lanka leads the series 1-Nil. Veteran wicket keeper-batsman Kumara Sangakkara will retire from international cricket after this game.
