India has requested Canadian authorities to take steps to ensure the safety of Indian nationals who are reportedly being threatened and intimidated. Replying to media query this evening, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said these threats have come from some fringe elements in Canada and this has been taken up with Canadian authorities both in Ottawa and Delhi. <br />'' <br />'' He advised Indian nationals to report any such incidents to local police and also bring to the attention of Indian consulates.<br />''
