India repatriates four Pak prisoners, one 12 yr old boy via Attari-Wagah Check Post

India has repatriated four Pakistani prisoners and a 12 year old boy via Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post, today. BSF officials handed them over to Pakistan Rangers.

The boy Qasib was apprehended by BSF when he inadvertently crossed over into India from Fazilka side, two year ago. He was kept in Faridkot based juvenile home. Delay in his identification and unavailability of his residential address was said to be the reason behind his late release. Faridkot’s Session Judge and Lahore based Ajoka Theatre Group had played an important role in his release.
Other four the released prisoners were undergoing imprisonment for illegally crossing over into Indian territory.
