India rejects US allegations; says IPR regime WTO compliant

Rejecting US allegations related to intellectual property rights (IPR), India today said that it is ready to discuss the matter at WTO as it has not breached any international agreement.Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma told PTI that if there is any specific issue, they must inform us.

He said, he has told USFDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg that the US should keep in loop Indian authorities if they have any issues. Hamburg was in Delhi last month and had met Sharma. US is one of the largest importers of Indian generic medicines.
