India has rejected the private member motion in Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Canada on 1984 Sikh riots.<br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Gopal Baglay said, the motion terming the riots as genocide is misguided and is based on a limited understanding of India, its constitution, society, ethos, rule of law and the judicial process. He said, India's views have been conveyed to the government and political leadership in Canada.
