India rejects Pakistan National Assembly and Senate resolutions on J&K

New Delhi on Tuesday rejected the Pakistan National Assembly and Senate resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir. An External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said in New Delhi that Pakistan has no locus standi on what is purely an internal affair of India. The spokesperson asked Pakistan to tackle the issues of constitutional safeguards, democracy, extremism, terrorism and human rights violation in the part of Jammu and Kashmir which is under its illegal occupation. He said that New Delhi is committed to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan through dialogue. The spokesperson also asked Pakistan to fulfil its stated commitment of not allowing territory under its control to be used for terrorism directed against India in any manner.
