India rejects Pak stand of no concrete evidence against LeT Chief Saeed in Mumbai attack case

India has rejected Pakistan's stand that there is no concrete evidence against Lashkar-e-Taiyyaba founder Hafiz Saeed and insisted that it has provided additional evidence against him and his associates which should be presented in Pakistani court to prosecute the suspects in the Mumbai attacks case.

Home Secretary RK Singh said this to media persons in Islamabad following talks with his Pakistani counterpart, Khwaja Siddique Akbar yesterday.

India also asked Islamabad to hand over underworld don Dawood Ibrahim besides several Indian Mujahideen leaders who are believed to be based in Pakistan. Mr Singh also said that the 2008 Mumbai attacks should not be equated with the 2007 bombing of the Samjhuata Express train.

He said Indian authorities have arrested and charge-sheeted those responsible for the bombing of the Samjhauta Express. Mr Singh also expressed concern over tardy progress in the prosecution of perpetrators of Mumbai terror attacks.
