India has rubbished Pakistan's allegation as totally baseless that India is supporting Taliban terrorists. The Defence Minister Mr. A.K. Antony today told newsmen in New Delhi that India considers Taliban the greatest threat to the world peace. <br/> <br/>Pakistan interior Minsiter Rehman Malik had on Monday alleged in an interview to a television channel that India is funding Taliban fighters in Pakistan. The External Affairs Minister Mr. S M Krishna rejected the charges same day saying that India wants Taliban to be totally eliminated. <br/> <br/>In reply to a query on Defence Equipment Acquisition, Mr.Antony said that India is diversifying its purchasing strategy. He said, New Delhi is acquiring equipment from all over the world ensuring its quality and on competitive prices.<br/> <br/>Earlier, addressing the National Seminar on Defence Acquisition Mr. Antony said India has emerged as a large defence market. <br/> <br/>Noting that acquisition is a complex process, the Defence Minister said to enhance probity in procurement deals role of independent monitors need to be enhanced to scrutinize complaints with regard to violations of Integrity Pact which is a binding agreement prohibiting corruption in defence deals.<br/><br/>
