India today maintained that Tibetan leader Dalai Lama is a respected and revered spiritual leader and it has been its consistent position. <br/><br/>Replying to a media query on China's reaction to Dalai Lama's recent meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said, it was a non-political event organized by Nobel laureates dedicated to the welfare of children. As per reports, China had raised objections to the meeting. <br/>
