India says that the Siachen glacier is an integral part of the country. Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha yesterday, Defence Minister A.K. Antony has said that the Government's principled and consistent position is that the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of the Indian Union. He said though India was committed to resolving all outstanding matters with the neighbouring country bilaterally and peacefully, Pakistan was yet to vacate parts of Jammu and Kashmir it had occupied illegally and forcibly.
