India reiterates no blockade in Nepal from its side

India today reiterated that there is no blockade in Nepal from its side. Replying to a question, MEA spokesperson said, a section of Nepalese population is opposed to certain provisions of the new Constitution and agitating which has lead to the blockade like situation.<br/><br/>He said, 2/3rd of supply to Nepal passes through Raxaul and Birganj check-posts which are closed due to the unrest in the Himalayan nation.<br/><br/>The External Affairs Ministry spokesperson also urged political parties in Nepal to address the concerns of Madhesi people so that situation could become normal.<br/><br/>He said, due to the unrest on the border Indian Oil Corporation is able to supply only 30 per cent of Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants.<br/><br/>The spokesperson said, India hopes the ongoing talks between Nepal government and Madhesi representatives would succeed and the issue would be resolved.
