India has reiterated its commitment for reconstruction and development of Afghanistan despite forces acting against it. Foreign secretary Mrs. Nirupma Rao said during a day-long visit to Afghanistan capital Kabul that India shares close relationship with government and people of Afghanistan which will continue. Her visit came in wake of Thursday bomb explosion outside Indian embassy in Kabul which killed at least 17 people. Mrs. Rao said forces opposed to friendship between India and Afghanistan are behind such acts and are working to create instability in the region. She said India will continue to work with like-minded nations for stability and peace in Afghanistan. The Indian foreign secretary called on Afghan President Mr.Hamid Karzai and foreign minister Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta and expressed her solidarity for families of those local Afghans who were killed in the explosion. She said that Afghan government is investigating the incident and was assured full cooperation in this regard.
