India today reiterated its commitments for ensuring security and safety of all foreigners, including African students' in the country. Making a statement in the Lok Sabha on the recent violent incident against Nigerians in Greater Noida, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj termed the incident as unfortunate, painful and surprising. <br/><br/>She also said, it would be inappropriate to connect the attack incident with racism before the probe ends. She also questioned the allegation by a group of African envoys describing the attacks as xenophobic and racial. <br/><br/>The Minister added that it is wrong to term the incident as racial attack since this was done by an angry mob. She said Indians have also died in African nations, but New Delhi did not allege racial attacks.<br/><br/>Mrs Swaraj said her junior Cabinet colleague V K Singh today spoke to the Dean of African Head of Missions over the issue and termed their remarks as sad. <br/><br/>She said they have said that they want to go to the UN Human Rights Council, but India has all human rights institutions, a free press and judiciary. The Minister said six people have been arrested in the case and strict action will be taken against the culprits.<br/>
