India reiterates for a stable, peaceful and prosperous Pak

India has reiterated that it wants a stable, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan. In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, the National Security Advisor, Mr. Shivshankar Menon said that India seeks friendly relations with Pakistan for mutual economic growth and prosperity.

Mr Menon said that India was firm on its stand that no outsider or international community will decide the political situation in Syria. He said that the original resolution on Syria proposed by the United Nations Security Council, sounded as if it asked for a regime change in that country. Talking about the Sino-Indian border issue, Mr. Menon said that India is exploring possibilities of boundary positions to arrive at a common agreed settlement. He said, recently during the 15th round of boundary talks, the frameworks were exchanged in a very positive and constructive manner.

On operationalisation of Indo-US Civil Nuclear Agreement, the National Security Advisor said that the first stage of settling the frameworks by the two governments, have been successfully concluded. Mr. Menon ruled out any foreign investment in the civil nuclear sector.
