India today said it does not believe that Pakistan is making any significant effort of ceasing support or dismantling bases of operations of the Laskhar e Tayyaba, Jaish-e-Muhammad, the Haqqani network and possibly the Al Qaeda.
External Affairs Ministry spokesman Syed Akbaruddin said, there is an increasing presence of Punjabi and Urdu speaking elements in terror groups operating in Afghanistan. He said, New Delhi also knows that these groups also pose significant threats to members of international community working in Afghanistan including Indian diplomatic personnel.
He was replying to a media query on United States certification on US aid to Pakistan. The spokesman, however, said, it is entirely the prerogative of the US to decide how to spend its taxpayers money. United States secretary of state John Kerry has signed a certification that makes Pakistan eligible for an aid package.
