India providing assistance to Nepal for Surkhet School?

India is providing a grant assistance of 1.98 crore Nepali rupees to Nepal for construction of a building and provision of furniture for Shree Nepal Rastriya Secondary School , Surkhet in western Nepal under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu with the District Development Committee, Surkhet and the school management committee. This is the second development project in the District Surkhet being undertaken with Indian assistance.India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme has an outlay over 5700 crore Nepali rupees with more than 380 large and small projects completed or currently being implemented in all districts of Nepal in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure development. These development projects have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal, reflecting India 's commitment to work together with the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and development.
