India has provided grant assistance of 17.22 crore Rupees to Nepal for construction of roads, college library, tube wells, river protection works and school buildings in the districts of Sunsari, Sirahacc Saptari and Udaypur. Indian Ambassador, Mr. Rakesh Sood during his current two-day visit to these districts handed over the newly constructed 2.25 km long Municipality road at Inaruwa Bazaar in Sunsari to the local community. The road renovated with Indian assistance of 3 crore Rupees, includes construction of main culvert, side drains, traffic control works, and footpath. India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme has an outlay over 2580 crore Rupees with more than 350 large and small projects currently being implemented in all districts of Nepal in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure development.
