India provides grant assistance for Palpa School building in Nepal

India has provided a grant assistance of 2.34 crores rupees for a school building for Shree Bhawani Higher Secondary School, Kusumkhola in Palpa district, Nepal. The Ambassador of India to Nepal, Mr. Rakesh Sood laid the foundation of the school building yesterday. Mr. Sood underlined the importance of India-Nepal Cooperation Programme as a cornerstone of the overall relationship between the two countries. The project will be implemented by the District Development Committee, Palpa. Established in 1957, Shree Bhawani Higher Secondary School, Kusumkhola is the only school in Palpa District which holds special classes for children with speech and hearing disabilities. The new infrastructure would provide much needed classrooms space of over 450 students. The assistance is being provided under the India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme which has an outlay of over 5800 crores rupees.
