India has provided a grant assistance of 4 crore rupees to Nepal for construction of two separate hostel buildings for Shree Sinam Higher Secondary School, Taplejung under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme. This is the second development project in the District Taplejung being undertaken with the assistance of India.A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by the Embassy of India, Kathmandu with the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Division Office, Ilam for providing the grant assistance. These development projects have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal reflecting India's commitment to work together with the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and development.
