India protected interests of developing countries in Paris Climate Agreement: Javadekar

Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today said that India has been able to secure its interest in the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Mr Javadekar said, all the 196 countries which had participated in the conference in Paris, have agreed to adopt environment friendly steps in their development works. <br/><br/>He said, in the agreement, it has been assured to provide financial and technical assistance to India and developing countries for climate mitigation and adaptation of environment friendly measures.
