India and Poland have agreed to enhance the bilateral cooperation in the Films Sector. The two countries are also discussing the possibility of exchange programme between their National Film Schools.
The issues were discussed at a meeting between Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bogdan Zdrajewski in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The two Ministers also discussed the possibility of organising Film Festivals in both the countries.
During the discussions, Mrs. Soni emphasised the importance India gives to Films from Poland. She said that in this year’s International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa, a special section on contemporary Polish Cinema will be organised as part of the World Cinema Programme.
Mrs. Soni also informed that Inter Ministerial Consultations on the proposed Audio Visual Co-production Agreement between the two countries will be completed shortly.
