Strengthening bilateral relationship in the fields of defence and trade and investment will be high on the agenda of talks between the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk tomorrow. The two sides are expected to sign agreement in the field of cultural exchanges after the talks. Banashri Bose Harrison, Joint Secretary in Ministry of External Affairs told reporters in New Delhi that a number of other agreements are also on the cards. The Polish leader is scheduled to address industry leaders in New Delhi at a meeting jointly organised by the industry chambers that is aimed at encouraging Indian investment in Poland.The bi-lateral trade between two countries stands at 4.12 billion US dollars. The spokesman of external affairs ministry,Vishnu Prakash said that Poland is not only interested in selling the Defence equipment but also transfer of technology. He said that Negotiations are on between the companies from India and Poland for joint ventures in defence field. The Polish Prime Minister who reached Banglore this morning on the first leg of his visit reached New Delhi this evening. He will hold talks with the Indian leaders on India- EU frade trade agreement. He will call on the president and the Vice President and exchange views with the UPA leader Sonia Gandhi and leader of the Opposition Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, besides the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna.
