India and Palestine today signed 5 agreements for cooperation in different areas including agriculture, health and Information Technology.<br/><br/>The Agreements were exchanged after delegation level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas in New Delhi.<br/><br/>India and Palestine agreed that the challenges in West Asia must be addressed through sustained political dialogue and peaceful means.<br/><br/>In his press statement after talks with Palestine President, Mr Modi said, India hopes for early resumption of talks between Palestine and Israel to move towards finding a comprehensive resolution.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, both leaders had extensive exchange of views on the situation in West Asia and the Middle East Peace Process.<br/><br/>Mr Modi said, the relationship between India and Palestine is built on the foundation of long-standing solidarity and friendship. He said, India is committed to be a useful development partner of Palestine.<br/><br/>Mr Modi said, through practical cooperation, both nations will work together to build Palestine's economy and contribute to improve the lives of people.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, India looks forward to the Palestinian people participating in large numbers during the International Day of Yoga celebrations next month.<br/><br/>In his statement, Mr Abbas thanked India for supporting Palestinians cause in international forum. He said, India has been at the forefront in reconstruction efforts of Palestine.
