India, Pak to set in motion series of interactions to discuss all outstanding issues

India and Pakistan have decided to set in motion the comprehensive dialogue process between them. Speaking to media in Thimpu today , Foreign Secretary Nirupama rao said that a series of meetings will take place before the Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi visits New Delhi some times in the middle of this year. She said the intention is to chart a way forward and engage with each other in a comprehensive way to discuss all issues including the outstanding ones. She said that every thing will be well in place before Qureshi’s visit. She said that a lot of interaction that had been put in abeyance will be discussed. On the sequence of meetings, Rao said that things that need to be done quickly will be done first. Issues that require more preparations will be taken up later but all issues will be discussed. These include terrorism, peace and security, Jammu and Kashmir, confidence building measures, people to people exchanges, narcotics, Sir Creek, Siachen and trade and commerce.
