India-Pak to hold talk on 25th Feb

India and Pakistan will hold Foreign Secretary-level talks in New Delhi on the 25th of this month. Islamabad has formally conveyed to New Delhi that it has accepted the offer of talks from India and confirmed the date for holding the talks. Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir called up his Indian counterpart Nirupama Rao to convey the acceptance of India's offer.

It may be recalled that India had proposed two sets of dates for the foreign secretary-level talks to be held either on the 18th or 25th of this month. While making the offer New Delhi had said that it will raise all relevant issues and will focus on terrorism emanating from Pakistani soil. It had also made it clear that composite dialogue cannot resume until Pakistan takes concrete action on dismantling of terror infrastructure and bring to book the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
