The issue of terrorism will be the single most important agenda for discussion between External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi during their meeting in New York on Sunday.
Ahead of his meeting with Qureshi on the sidelines of the United Nation General Assembly, Mr. Krishna told this to newspersons. He also said New Delhi was assessing Islamabad's recent response to its demands related to the Mumbai attacks. The minister said the recent action taken against JuD chief Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the Mumbai attacks, was not satisfactory.
He pointed out that the reason for Saeed's arrest was not the Mumbai attacks but a hate speech he had made at a Ramadan dinner criticising Pakistan, India and the United States.
Mr Krishna added India does not make any distinction between a good Taliban and a bad Taliban and consider the extremist group as a terrorist organisation.
Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao will also meet her counterpart Salman Bashir before the foreign Ministers' meeting.
