India, Pak agree to work together to deal with terrorism in region

India and Pakistan have agreed to work together to clear the menace of terrorism from the region. Addressing a joint Press Conference in Islamabad yesterday evening, Home Minister P Chidambaram and his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malik said that the two sides have agreed to address the situation with seriousness. They said that the CBI and Pakistan's FIA would work together on the issue of terrorism and prevent any repeat of Mumbai attacks. <br/>Mr Chidambaram said that he was returning to India with the confidence that the outcome of his meeting with Mr Malik will be very good for both the countries. <br/>Earlier addressing a separate Press Conference, Mr Chidambaram pitched for prosecution of more people involved in Mumbai terror attacks. <br/>Asked if India was satisfied with the outcome of the talks, Mr Chidambaram said, nobody is questioning the intention. The outcome alone will decide if we are on the right track. <br/> <br/>Mr Chidambaram is returning to New Delhi today. AIR correspondent reports that there is plenty of hope for the talks to move ahead satisfactorily.<br/>
