At Guangzhou, China, ace marksman Gagan Narang expectedly fetched the first individual medal for India by clinching silver, as the shooters launched their campaign in the 16th Asian Games with two silver medals on the opening day of compititions today. Narang claimed the silver in the 10 metre air rifle individual event and then teamed up with Bindra and Sanjeev Rajput to add another silver in the team event. In Badminton, star woman shuttler Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap scored impressive wins, but the Indian challenge ended in both the men's and women's team events.
