In the India Open Badminton tournament, PV Sindhu, Aakarshi Kashyap in women's singles will play their semi final matches today. Top seed Sindhu, a former world champion, got the better of compatriot Ashmita Chaliha 21-7, 21-18 in the quarterfinal match so did  Aakarshi who also defeated fellow Indian Malvika Bansod, 21-12, 21-15. 

Sindhu will take on Thailand's Supanida Katethong, Aakashi takes on Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand. In women's doubles, Haritha Manazhiyil and Ashna Roy will play the  their semi-final match against Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard of Thailand.
