India on top in SAF Games

India continued its dominance in second phase of SAF Games and bagged maximum medals in different events of Alpine Sking slalom and Nordic sking. Inaugurating the Games at Auli in Chamolee district amongst colourful fest, Chief Minister Ramesh Pokharial Nissank said hat these events would be useful for local youth aspirants. The Indian squad continued their dominance in Auli also. Host Indian players Arif clinched gold and Jamiang bagged silver in Alpine men's giant slalom whereas Pakistani player Mir Nawaz, who put up good fight, had to settle for the bronze. In the women's, Pakistani Wali Sisters bagged the gold and silver. India's Preeti owned the bronze. Meanwhile, the girls from India in the 5 kilometre cross country sking replied well claiming all three positions in this category.
