India not closed doors on Iran – Pakistan – India Gas pipeline

India today said that it has not closed its doors on the Iran – Pakistan – India Gas pipeline but will take further steps after considering the economic feasibility and security aspects of the project.<br/><br/>Sources said that the economic aspect is the key on its decision with regard to the pipeline and there is also the issue of energy security.<br/><br/>Sources denied there was any pressure on India on the issue. Our correspondent says that India is watching the developments as the United States is currently consulting the UN permanent members of Russia and China on the issue of sanctions with regard to its nuclear programme. <br/><br/>India's Ambassador in Tehran will attend the meeting on nuclear issue that Iran is hosting later this month.<br/>
