India and Nepal are holding bilateral talks at joint home secretary level, on Thursday in Kathmandu . The meeting is expected to pave the way for the Home Secretary level talks which has not been held since 2009. Joint Secretary Home K.K Mittal is leading the Indian delegation, while Joint Secretary Sudhir Shah is leading the Nepali delegation. During the first day, talks focused on cross border co-operation and having the district co-ordination body meeting regularly.The talks being held after a gap of four years is expected to lay the ground for the Home Secretary level talks. According the Spokesman of the Nepal government all border security management issues came up for discussions, which included crime control, maintaining and repair of border pillars, fake currency. The training of security agencies particularly the Nepal Police and the Armed Police force also figured in the talks.
