India and Nepal have agreed to boost trade, investment and economic cooperation. The entire gamut of bilateral issues came up for discussion during the talks between External Affairs Minister S. M Krishna Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bharat Mohan Adhikrari at Kathmandu Wednesday afternoon. The discussion also covered economic co-operation, trade, investment , peace process and constitution drafting.Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Madan Kumar Bhattarai, Nepal and India have agreed to activate the bilateral mechanism to promote trade. During the talks they also took stock of the agreements that were signed during the visit of then Prime Minister of Nepal Madhav Kumar Nepal in August 2009 .He said India reiterated it’s commitment to Nepal’s peace process and constitution drafting. The External Affairs Minister had arrived earlier Wednesday morning in Kathmandu on a three day visit. On his arrival at the airport he said India is committed to working with Nepal for the country’s peace, development and prosperity. He is leading a seven member delegation.
