Inaugurating the regional conference of Eastern states on the theme 'Enhancing Steel Consumption in India' in Gangtok today, the minister emphasized on utilizing the available scope, capability, resources and the manpower in related sector. He also suggested that steel industries demonstrate to common public the advantages of using steel. The measures to increase steel demand, including steel intensive construction and steel in rural sector, were the issues discussed during the conference.<br/>
