Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told the World Bank that India requires ideas, knowledge and expertise rather than dollars. During a meeting with World Bank President Jim Yong Kim in New Delhi yesterday, he said the country needs to focus on developing a base of skilled people keeping the future in mind. Mr Modi said India wants ideas from the World Bank not only on mass production but also on production by masses, which will benefit the country's workforce.Mr Modi also laid emphasis on speedy implementation of programmes undertaken by the World Bank. The Prime Minister reiterated his three most important goals – skill, scale and speed. Mr Modi suggested that the cleaning of the Ganga will be a very inspiring project for the World Bank.In a series of tweets, Mr Modi described his meeting with Mr Kim as 'very fruitful.' Mr Kim said, his meeting with the Prime Minister was one of the most inspiring ones he had in his two years in the job.
