India-Myanmar Joint Consultative Commission meeting in Delhi

India-Myanmar Joint Consultative Commission, JCC, is meeting in New Delhi. The meeting is reviewing the progress on bilateral initiatives in various sectors, identify thrust areas and give directions for further growth of the bilateral partnership. It also provides a useful opportunity for exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. <br/><br/>The meeting is being co-chaired by the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Myanmar counterpart U Wunna Maung Lwin. The JCC was constituted under the Protocol on Consultations between the External Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar signed during the visit of the Myanmar Foreigner Minister to India in January 2003.
