President Ram Nath Kovind has said, India is moving towards research-based learning and churning out products and technologies for nation building. <br/><br/>Addressing the 48th convocation of IIT Delhi today, Mr Kovind said, IIT system has been the gold standards of technical education in the country. He said, nano filters developed by IIT Delhi protect people from ever-growing air pollution at the cost of only 10 rupees. The President also said, IIT Delhi has now more post-graduate students than at the undergraduate level and this is a healthy sign.<br/><br/>Mr Kovind said, many of those who studied in IITs in past were fortunate to have their world-class education heavily subsidised by tax payers' money. He said, there is a moral obligation on their part to pay back and help those less privileged in whichever manner possible. <br/><br/>The President said, IITs are society's navigators to explore new technologies and their implications for country's economy and society.
