The World Cup Kabaddi tournament begins with the inaugural match to be played between India and the United States at Patiala tonight. In this 11-day extravaganza nine teams from as many countries will compete for the highest ever Prize Money of 2.2 crore rupees in all. The tournament will be inaugurated by the Punjab Chief Minister along with the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab who also holds the Sports portfolio, at YPS Stadium in Patiala. The closing ceremony will be held at Ludhiana on April 12.
