The first meeting of the Joint Committee for Cooperation on the textile and clothing industry between India and Mauritius will be held on the 23rd of this month. The announcement was made during a meeting between Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma and the visiting Mauritian Minister of Foreign Affairs Arvin Bollel in New Delhi on Friday. During the meeting, the two ministers agreed to hasten the Preferential Trade Agreement negotiations. They also agreed to deepen economic engagement between the two countries. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma said, the bilateral economic and commercial ties between the two sides have shown a healthy upward trajectory.
