The government has constituted a working group to examine consequential issues arising out of amendments to India-Mauritius Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement and related issues. <br/><br/>According to the Finance Ministry, the working group to be headed by Joint Secretary in the Central Board of Direct Taxes,CBDT will be comprised of departmental officers and representatives of SEBI, custodians, brokerage firms and fund managers. The Group has been asked to submit its report to the CBDT within 3 months, after examining the relevant issues.
